Our workshops are held in a purpose built log style cabin situated approximately 100 metres away from the self catering cottages with hot tub and enjoying panoramic views over the valley below.

Perhaps, you would like to learn watercolour or oil painting, the beautiful unspoilt landscape around us with its unique countryside scenes provides some captivating and interesting sources for practising your drawing, sketching and painting skills. Under the expert guidance of professional artist and art tutor John Hutchins you will surely leave Rainbow Cottages with a picture and memory to be proud of.

If you are looking to make bespoke, made-to-measure soft furnishings, why not enrol on one of our curtain making and soft furnishing courses. Learn professional sewing and needlework techniques and skills that will enable you to create quality custom made curtains, blinds and soft furnishings time and time again. We offer a variety of sewing courses to suit all levels of abilities and with a maximum of 5 students per course you can expect a high level of individual attention. We also offer personal sewing tuition on an hourly basis for individuals who are taking a holiday at Rainbow Cottages and do not wish to enrol on a week long course.

Our 5 day residential courses run from Monday to Friday allowing you with the weekend free to explore the area, visit some of the many attractions close by, or simply relax and absorb the superb views and the peace and tranquility that Rainbow Cottages provides. Our well-equipped cottages, a powerful 8-seater Hot Tub situated in the cottages garden and a library of craft and fictional books will help you unwind in the best possible way. Conference Facilities: If you are a company or organisation providing training courses to your employees, we can arrange hiring the entire complex to you - workshop and self-catering cottages. The workshop is well equipped for training purposes with a range of modern teaching aids including a computer whiteboard and OHP.
With comfy seating and ample desk space to complement the superb location of the Workshop and Rainbow Cottages, we believe it is the perfect setting for your employees to assimilate new skills, ideas, and company practices.
