PAINTING IN WATERCOLOURS

Course Tutor: John Hutchins

Course Dates 2008:
April 14th-18th; June 16th-20th; October 13th-17th.

Course Duration: Monday - Friday (10am - 5 pm)

Weekend courses: Running from mid-September onwards (minimum 4 students). Please contact us for further details.

This course is suitable for all levels of abilities.
Using the surrounding countryside as inspiration, John will teach you how to paint landscapes, rural views, buildings etc. using watercolours. All relevant techniques and methods will be covered. The course involves sketching in the workshop and outdoors. Field trips to local points of interest arranged with participants.

Lunch and coffee breaks taken when convenient.

Watercolour paints
Watercolour paper 140lb/200lb weight
Brushes - large, medium and small
Drawing Board (lightweight)
Pencils (selection)
Putty Rubber
Mahl stick
Mixing Palettes (china)
Watercolour Sponge (natural)
Water Pot (secure lid)
Masking Tape
Kitchen Roll
Seat for carrying
Easel
Bag to hold everything

PAINTING WITH OILS

Course Duration: Monday - Friday (10am - 5 pm)

This course is suitable for all levels of abilities and includes painting landscapes, rural views and buildings using oils. All relevant techniques and methods will be covered. The course involves sketching in the workshop and outdoors with field trips to local points of interest arranged with course participants.
