Terms & Conditions of Booking

Booking

Bookings can be made by post or telephone: Click to see booking form
To make a booking by post please print out and complete a booking form and send to Rainbow Cottage Workshops, Cwm Howell, Whitemill, Carmarthen,SA32 7HD, enclosing the appropriate deposit or payment (see below).
On receipt of payment, confirmation of booking and receipt of payment will be sent.

Deposits
If booking more than 4 weeks in advance, the following amounts are payable per person as a deposit, to secure a booking and are non-refundable.

Day course - £20 / day
5 day course - £100 (resident); £50 (non-resident)
Please pay the full fee if booking less than 4 weeks in advance.

Final Payment
Invoice, joining instructions and course programme will be sent out at least 4 weeks before the start of the course. The balance due will be shown on the invoice and must be settled at least 21 days before the start of the course. If payment is not received within this time, we reserve the right to cancel the booking.

Residential Courses
The course fees for residents include accommodation in one of our self catering cottages for the duration of the course. Bedding, towels are included in the course cost. Electricity supply in cottages is by coin meter.
Customers who opt to share a cottage with another course participant will each receive 20% discount on the advertised course cost. Individuals who wish to bring a non-studying partner or friend can do so at a fixed cost of £100 / week.

On a 5 day midweek course customers can commence their holiday after 3pm on the Saturday before the course commencement date, customers must vacate their cottages by 10am on the following Saturday.
When the residential accommodation is fully booked, customers may wish to arrange their own accommodation and enrol as non-residents. A list of local accommodation is available on request.

Course Fees
The fees for each course whether residential or non-residential are as advertised. No reduction can be made in respect of late arrival, early departure or absence during any part of the course. Customers are advised that, on certain courses, they may incur additional costs for course materials etc. Such costs must be met in full during the course.

Cancellation by the Customer
Please inform us by telephone if you wish to cancel a booking. Cancellation terms apply as follows:The deposit is non refundable on cancellation; cancellation up to 28 days before course – no charge; 14 -28 days before course, refund of monies paid less deposit and 25% administration fee; less than 14 days before course – full fee is payable.

Your Property:
You agree to keep the property clean and tidy and to leave the property in a similar condition as you found it upon arrival. You further agree not to use the property for any commercial purposes, including without limitation, assigning or subletting it or otherwise allowing anyone to occupy it who has not previously been accepted by us.
You are responsible for the actual costs of any breakages or damage in or to the property, along with any additional costs that may result, which are caused by you and/or members of your party.


Force Majeure:
We will not be liable for any changes, cancellations, effect on your holiday, loss or damage suffered by you or for any failure to perform or properly perform any of our respective obligations to you which is due to any event(s) or circumstance(s) beyond our reasonable control, e.g. fire, flood, exceptional weather conditions, epidemics, destruction or damage of the property by any cause and all similar situations. In appropriate cases, e.g. where your booking has to be cancelled before departure, we will refund to you all monies paid to us for your booking.
No compensation, expenses, costs or other sums of any description (including without limitation the cost of securing an alternative property/accommodation) will be payable in such circumstances by us.

Data Protection Act:
If you give us a name, address and contact numbers, we will only use them internally e.g. to send you special offers and information. We will not pass your information onto a third party.
